The media landscape is changing and will continue to change over the next decade or so but what does that mean for the ABC? Will there still be a place for a national public broadcaster or should it be privatised? While former Reserve Bank board member Warwick McKibbin has said the RBA should intervene in currency markets to limit the strength of the dollar, the bank has not shown any concern about the high dollar. It left the cash rate on hold at its latest meeting, while the dollar is at 105.5 US cents and 85 euro cents this morning.
