    Most retrenched Pacific Brands workers without a job after a year MP3

    The Textile Clothing and Footwear Union has followed the experiences of ex-Pacific Brands workers since they were retrenched last year, finding 56 per cent remained unemployed, most in short-term casual jobs. The union is calling for more targeted assistance - a training allowance for up to two years and boosting government and private sector procurement of locally made clothing.
