The CSIRO says it's looking into claims that a multi-national pharmaceutical company was misled into signing a $2.5 million deal with one of its joint ventures. Fairfax newspapers are reporting that CSIRO representatives signed a deal with the drug company Novartis to provide it with an anti-counterfeit measure that was known to be substandard. Violent attacks on bus drivers are becoming so common that many of them now say they fear for their lives when they're working a night shift. The Transport Workers Union says that drivers on Queensland's Gold Coast alone report around six attacks each week.
